Rose have been treasured for centuries by many different cultures, and the use of rose water can be traced as far back as 1200BC where it was produced and sold in the ancient Greek city of Pilos. Cleopatra was a huge fan of rosewater's beautifying and healing properties, and used it regularly for bathing, fragrancing and cosmetic purposes. Rose Hydrolat - a beautifully scented, colourless water - is made via steam distillation from the petals of organic Damask Rose. It has a cooling effect on the skin, can calm and relax the senses and is said to ease anxiety.
